Revenge is a look over your shoulder proposition. At least it was for Luol Deng when he eked by LeBron James for this dunk in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Most players can’t pull off a move like this on LeBron (the king of the chasedown block), but Deng made it happen. See video below.
The Heat came back from an eight-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Bulls 83-80 and advance to the NBA Finals. Deng had to feel at least a little vindicated, though. This dunk avenges the hurt LeBron put on him in Game 4.
Deng averaged 17.2 points and 7 rebounds in the series, a respectable showing considering he averaged a 17.4-5.8 in the regular season and the Heat are one of the best defensive teams in the league. I’d say he lived up to expectations.
Assist, SLAM.
